The care and increasingly Adenium obesum a succulent plant more commonly known as Desert Rose, is not difficult, and the plant will reward you with its unusual shape, a beautiful deep red with white flowers and its tolerance of neglect occasional . Overview
Adenium obesum, commonly called "the desert rose is a perennial shrub succulent flowers which is native to Africa. A relative of the oleander plant is extremely low maintenance of the shoot pink, cherry or white flowers in summer. It is very sensitive to cold and is hardy in USDA zones 10 and 11. When planted in a large bowl, desert rose may be moved indoors when the temperature drops below 50 degrees Fahrenheit.

Similar in shape to a bonsai, the Adenium is a beautiful tropical shrub. The Adenium has a broad base of fat, swollen roots at the surface and striking flowers. Also known as the desert rose, impala lily, azalea and mock Sabi star, this extraordinary flowering plant is native to Arabia and Africa. It is relatively easy to cultivate and maintain, often as a potted plant in rock gardens or exotic.
